misc · Meeting of April 14, 2026

NJ HOPE — Hope Environmental Commission and Green Team advance preparations for April 26 community environmental fair. Commission member Phyllis Strohmeyer submitted a $1,500 ANJEC grant application for Swayze Mill Park native plantings, with grantees to be notified in May. Substantial event work remains, including recruiting volunteers, coordinating with schools and exhibitors, securing 120 tree seedlings, and organizing logistics.

The group also pursued watershed ambassador activities with Matt Trochim, including possible enviroscape and macroinvertebrate displays and stream monitoring sessions on Beaver Brook.
