NJ HOPE — The Hope Land Use Board heard a historic grist mill preservation concept on August 3. The board approved the prior month's minutes by voice vote with two members abstaining and unanimously approved a $761.25 billing to French & Parrello (case LUB2026-01). A property owner discussed forming a charitable LLC to preserve the grist mill ruins at 137 Swayze Mill Road, with the LLC to be self-sustaining and perpetually maintain the site.
Chairman Steve Larena and board members directed the owner to submit a formal application with professional documentation and mapping.
